Creation Tells of Glory

Original Tune: I Love to tell the Story: William G. Fischer, 1835-1912
Psalm 19

Creation tells of glory for all the world to see,
How Father, Son, and Spirit; together one and three.
There is no speech or language where they cannot be heard,
It speaks to me his presence; confirms the spoken word.

The heav’ns declare your glory, the skies proclaim love’s story
Our bridegroom comes from glory, redeeming grace is come.

The law of God is perfect, reviving my poor soul
His precepts all are righteous, gives joy to them who know.
The fear of God endureth and makes the humble pure
More precious than earth’s glory, thy word alone is sure.

The heav’ns declare your glory, the skies proclaim love’s story
Our bridegroom comes from glory, redeeming grace is come.

Forgive my known obsessions, forgive my hidden faults.
Thy children keep from falling, Thy word my ev’ry thought.
Then I will be made blameless, not I but Christ inside
Thy pleasing son from glory, the law is satisfied.

The heav’ns declare your glory, the skies proclaim love’s story
Our bridegroom comes from glory, redeeming grace is come.
